Cycle journey planner
Journey plannerTransport Direct and Cycling England, in partnership with the 10 Greater Manchester authorities, will be launching a cycle journey planner in late 2009. Simply type in your start point and end destination to get a map and written description for your journey, with a choice of the quickest or the quietest route. It’ll also show you the route length and an idea of how long the ride will take. The trial version is available online now at the Transport Direct website for cycle journeys in Greater Manchester and Merseyside (and will be expanded to other areas). There’s also an online form for you to give feedback that can be incorporated into the full version, to be launched later in 2009. Watch out for more details here at CycleGM or www.cyclingengland.co.uk

Cycle Parking
Various cycle parking is available around Greater Manchester, as shown on our online map and paper cycle maps. With the BLUC Cycle Locker Scheme you can use any BLUC locker at train and bus stations and town centre locations across the area. For more information, visit the GMPTE website.
